Jaiwa Web Design and Consulting Services is a one woman show.
My name is Joy Stapleton, and I started out in the computer industry in 1985 as a mainframe Programmer/Analyst.
I later became a PC software developer, and a PC technical support person in the 1990s. In addition to that I've
recently started freelancing in Web design.
In December of 2009 I started writing a monthly column called "The Joy of Computing" for the Seniors Sunset Times.
The Seniors Sunset Times is an independently owned and operated free newspaper distributed along
the coast of Washington state and published monthly by Think Ink Publications.
The publisher was clearly being punny when she came up with the title for my column, but I find it rather fitting
under the circumstances.
I love writing, and I love computers, in fact, I'm quite passionate about a lot of things, particularly photography
and nature.
I'm planning to upload more of my photos on a regular basis for free wallpaper distribution.
I also intend to provide my own freeware and shareware programs as I develop them and make them available for
downloading from this site.
There's a screen shot of my current project in the Software section.
There's no telling when it will be done though, since I've been focusing much more on designing Web sites these days.
My current Web project is for the Aberdeen Revitalization group in Aberdeen, WA. We're a group of over 300 people who
have volunteered to work toward improving our city and our commnunities.
